transfer of electrons- ionic bonding
sharing of electrons-covalent bonding

Answer by career
Ionic bonds have paired scrolling volutes and covalent bonds are decorated with leaves and scrolls.

Answer by V
Bonds are what join molecules together. Ionic bonds result from electrons moving from one atom to another creating oppositely charged ions that are strongly attracted to each other, for example NaCl. Covalent bonds happen when atoms share electrons to fill each others' valence shells, for example H2O.

Answer by Luc N
A covalent bond is formed when electrons are shared between atoms. An ionic bond is formed when electrons are transferred from one atom to the other.
